I am British and have been teaching in Korea for over 20 years. My primary focus lies in fostering student autonomy and nurturing independent learning. I aim to instill a sense of curiosity in my students, motivating them to explore the world and actively seek knowledge on their own. In my teaching approach, I strive to transition from a strict authority figure to more of a guiding presence, allowing students to chart their own paths.

What truly drives me is the realization that I cannot foresee the future roles my students will occupy—be it as successful entrepreneurs, distinguished scientists, or accomplished leaders. Being able to contribute, even in a small way, to their potential achievements is an exhilarating prospect.

저를 진정으로 이끄는 것은 학생들이 성공적인 기업가, 저명한 과학자 또는 뛰어난 리더가 되어 미래에 어떤 역할을 맡게 될지 예측할 수 없다는 사실을 깨닫는 것입니다. 학생들의 잠재적 성취에 작은 힘이나마 기여할 수 있다는 것은 짜릿한 전망입니다.
